Getting Here

Getting to Bumble Choo is easy whatever your mode of transport.Windermere village is just off the M6, take Junction 36 and then the A590/ A591. The cottage has off-road gated parking for two cars, with two EV charging points.The cottage is also really well connected to public transport for those leaving the car at home. Windermere train and bus station is a five minute walk from the cottage. There you can find direct trains to Manchester Airport (approx 2 hours 15 minutes) and a 20 minute connection to Oxenholme, which connects with the West Coast Mainline running from London to Glasgow. The fastest train from London to Windermere takes around 3 hours 6 minutes, including the change.

Buses connect Windermere to Bowness, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick, including a lovely open top route, and there are also many local, reliable taxi firms. 

The nearest airports are Manchester to the south and Glasgow to the north.
